Dreamweaver is a very handy tool for making web pages. So here are some very useful tips on how to handle the features of Dreamweaver 4:
Dreamweaver has many useful panels, yet sometimes they can block your view of the bigger picture. Get them out of your way and use the F4 key, a shortcut that hides all visible panels at once. To make them appear, press the F4 key again.
Use the keyboard shortcut assigned to each panel to turn panels on and off individually. For you to find out what they are, select Window on the menu bar and look for the keyboard shortcut listed next to each panel name.
Dreamweaver Version 4 enables you to split the window for you to view the HTML codes and the page design at the same time. To do this, select View from the menu bar then under it choose design.
It would be easier to differentiate Java and HTML codes since Dreamweaver 4 has a built in text editor.
Making tables in the design area is now easier. Click the New Layout view from Table View under View on the menu bar to draw the tables.
Save your texts inside an HTML document. Opening the file in Dreamweaver in this format will not corrupt the texts.
Basic fonts are easier to display the way you designed them to. Unusual texts might cause trouble. It would be better if you create the texts in Dreamweaver as Dreamweaver 4 now has a list of font styles.
Create as many sites as you can, it is the great way to ensure that most of your visitors are smiling when you use cutting edge page designs. It is suggested that you create 3-4 pages: one for the latest; the other for the old fashioned.
