Drawing on Photoshop is fun and you can use simple tools to make nice drawings. Go to File and click on New. Write a new name for the file and set the width and height settings to open the new document. Now, by using a pen tool from tools palette:
draw a figure of a chilli, in the lying position. Right click select and choose make selection.
Then, in the make selection dialog box, make few changes. Check the anti aliased box under Rendering and under Operation, select the new selection option.
Then click Ok and exit out. The image will look more defined now.
From the colour swatch, fill the image with your choice of colour:
Select Burn tool
now and give shading on the bottom part of the chilli. Then, select Dodge tool and use it to highlight the upper middle part of the chilli, to give it a shiny surface.
Now go to the blending options and select drop shadow:
and make changes to this box. Under structure, change blend mode to multiply, opacity as 14%, angle as 90°, distance to 14 px, spread 0% and size 13px. Under quality, keep noise at 0% and check mark layer knocks out drop shadow.
Go to layers palette and click on new layers icon and open a new layer. Again with the help of pen tool draw the stem part of the chilli, which will be coloured green. Use the burn tool to give it shading. Put both the layers in the group folder which is located in the layers palette and has a folder shape icon. Then with a muse, right click on the group folder and select duplicate group layer. It will bring up another chilli on top of the previous one. Then, rotate the chilli by pressing Ctrl + t and finally press enter.
