Go to File menu and select New for the new document dialog box to open. Enter the width and the height of the document as you wish, depending on whether you want to print the work or save it on computer and use it on the web.

Now choose type tool, and click on new type layer in the options bar. You can now type your text. You should choose a font style which gives bold text if you wish it to be easily read. For the word that you decide on, you can use separate layers for each letter of the word or you can type the whole word on a single layer. The letters, if all on a single layer, should not be overlapping. After this, go to File and then Save as…and then browse to the location where you want to save your work in psd format.

Now open the first filler image. Press Ctrl + a, this will select the whole picture and then press Ctrl + c to copy it to the clipboard.  Now go back to your layers with the texts. In the layer’s palette, select the text layer. In options, choose the magic wand tool and uncheck “use all layers”. Touch your text where you want the filler image to be with the magic wand. This will select the text and if your letter or text is a letter like ‘i’ or ‘j’, which have two parts, then holding shift and then touching the letter with the magic wand will expand the selection to the other part also. Now go to Edit and then click on Paste into. You will get the image you selected into the shape of the letter. You can see in your layers palette that only the image in the shape of the letter is seen and the rest is hidden.

If you do not like the part of the image which is seen, then you can choose move tool and drag it around to see the effect. Go to edit and click Transform, which will bring the transformation bounding box. You can resize your filler image to see how it looks on the text. So you can resize your image to a smaller size if you want more of the image to be seen. Once done, you can press enter.  You can go to Image and then Adjust to change hue and saturation, in case you want to change the colour. Click Ok if you are satisfied with the new colour.

Again go to the type layer and with the magic wand, select another letter in your text which you want to fill with image now. If you want to use the same image, then you do not have to select again, as the image is already there in the clipboard. But for another image, you will need to repeat the steps Ctrl + a, and then Ctrl + c. repeat the steps for all the letters in your text and then press Ctrl + s to save. You can change the background colour by clicking on background and selecting any colour and then Alt + backspace from the keyboard to fill.
