Seamless tileable texture
Open a new document. You need to have a perfect square image for tileable texture. In case you do not have a perfect square image, then you can crop it using a crop tool, to a perfect square. Now you need to resize the image. For this you go to Menu, then Image. Click on Image size and change the pixel dimensions to an equal number of pixels in height as well as width.
Open the file in Photoshop and offset image by going to Filter from the menu bar. Here, select Others and then choose Offset. A new Offset window will open where you will have to adjust the pixels. You can reduce the pixels to half of what the image had. So if it was for instance 700 pixels then reduce it to 350 pixels in horizontal and vertical boxes. Make sure that Wrap around and preview options are selected in the Offset window. Click Ok in this window and you will get a tiled image.
However, you will have to clean the offset line wherever the images are merging. Go to clone stamp tool from the tool box on the left hand side. Go to windows and choose options. Now, choose a brush of appropriate size. You will need a soft brush and will have to select a diameter of the brush.
Now you can use the clone stamp tool. Hold the Alt key and click on a perfect spot in the texture. Then leave the Alt key and click and drag the cursor along the seams. In a way you are copying the spot where you clicked previously. This way you can remove the seams and dark patches, if any, from the image which can be a giveaway. The image should not look repetitive and should be seamless.
Keep using the clone stamp tool and correct different areas of the picture unless it looks like one whole image and not a tiled one.
